Years of Global Experience

Fenix Outdoor’s story begins in the 1980s, when founder Åke Nordin starts distributing Fjällräven’s products to the rest of Europe. Initially, this is done through small warehouses spread throughout the Netherlands, but over time the need for a larger, centrally located warehouse arises.

The first part of our Fulfilment Centre in Almere was built in 2004. In 2011, another 1,500 m2 of high bay warehouse was added. With the acquisition of new brands and Fjällräven’s organic growth, the need for storage space rapidly increased. Therefore, another 10,000 m2 was added in 2015. Today, we have approximately 17,000 m2 in Almere handling the logistic needs of Fjällräven and both Fenix Outdoor and non-Fenix brands.

In 2016, a new state-of-the-art Fulfilment Centre of 30,000 m2 was built in Ludwigslust, Germany. There, we manage a mix of Fenix and non-Fenix Outdoor brands. At that location, we also take care of warehouse operations for Frilufts, consisting of retail brands such as Globetrotter and Naturkompaniet. We also have fulfilment centres dedicated to Fenix in Norway, the USA and Canada.
